About three weeks ago I wrote about what could be in the second 2020 Stimulus package.

This is an update to that bill which members of Congress could vote on this Friday, May 15.

House Democrats proposed this bill and you may see some of the benefits soon.

States and local governments will also benefit from the bill as well as the everyday citizen including kids and dependents.

The first stimulus package was $2.4 trillion and this next stimulus is $3 trillion, and called the Health and Economic Recovery Omnibus Emergency Solutions Act or HEROES Act. This package expands coverage for unemployment assistance, food stamps, and additional small business grants.

Many states and the District of Columbia could see $915 billion, territories would see $540 billion, and local governments would get $375 billion.

This bill is larger than the four previous stimulus packages Congress has approved since March of 2020.
